Terms of use.

These terms govern access to the Karta platform and the kartaspace.com website. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. Operator

Karta is operated by:

Shreekara Nagesh Kulkarni
Hochstraße 12 E, 13357 Berlin, Germany

Sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen). Small business under § 19 UStG, so no VAT is charged.

2. Scope

These terms apply to every visitor of kartaspace.com and every user of the Karta platform, including pilot studios and invited guests. Deviating terms of a customer apply only where the operator has agreed to them in writing.

3. Pilot status

Karta is currently in pilot. Features may change or be withdrawn, uptime is best effort, and data models may be adjusted while the product matures. Pilot studios receive direct support from the founding team. The service is provided for professional use, not as a consumer product.

4. Accounts

One login per person. Credentials may not be shared. Studios are isolated tenants and access to another studio requires an invitation from that studio. You are responsible for activity under your account and must report suspected misuse without delay.

5. Acceptable use

You may not upload unlawful content, infringe third party rights, attempt to access other tenants, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it automatically, or resell access without written agreement. The operator may suspend accounts that breach this section.

6. Content and licence

You retain ownership of drawings, photos, messages and any other content you upload. You grant the operator a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the service for your studio. Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics may be used to improve the product.

7. Availability and support

The service is provided on a best effort basis. Planned maintenance is announced where practical. No specific uptime is guaranteed during the pilot. Support runs by email at hi@kartaspace.com during German business days.

8. Fees

Pilot access is free of charge unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Any future paid plan applies only after you accept its pricing.

9. Term and termination

Either side may end the relationship at any time during the pilot. On termination, studio data is deleted within 30 days unless a longer statutory retention applies. You can request an export before deletion.

10. Data protection

Data is hosted in the European Union and processed as described in our Privacy notice at kartaspace.com/privacy. Where the operator processes personal data on behalf of a studio, a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR applies.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by German law, the operator is liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health. Liability for slight negligence is limited to breaches of essential contractual duties and to foreseeable, contract typical damage. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. You remain responsible for keeping your own backups of critical project records.

12. Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms to reflect product or legal changes. Material changes are announced by email or in the application at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date counts as acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Berlin. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
